I listen to the singing within me,

the words that say who I am,

and the path I have taken.

I let all these jostling words spring up in me,

rush and like bubbles,

that burst on the surface of my silence.

They talk about me,

springing from the depths of my unconscious.

I listen to them tell my life

and my story, my sorrows and my joys,

all these words that speak of me.

Arlette never stops improving and experimenting with various media: courses in creative jewelry, stained glass and painting. She refuses to confine her art to a unique form of expression, fascinated as much by the purity of lines and shapes as by the play of colors, transparency and light. This passion is embodied in acrylic paintings, stained glass, silk paintings, etc. In 1972, she dabbled in wood and stone but opted for clay and lost wax. Although she uses various media: marble, granite, amethyst, soapstone, wood, alabaster, etc., sometimes combining several of these materials, she favors bronze.

In 1993, she gave birth to a series of bronze sculptures. She accompanies her works with poetic texts. In 1995-1996, she undertook life-size sculptures and executed the bust of Father Émile Legault which, since the year 200, has been exhibited at the entrance of the Émile Legault theater in Montreal, next door to the Museum “Les Maîtres et Artisans du Quebec ”. The list of donors includes the name “Heritage Canada”.

She has become known through numerous group and solo exhibitions as well as in public buildings, galleries and in various offices of business leaders and engineering consultants. Several of his works have been nominated for the “Audience Award”.

In Quebec, she exhibits, among others, at the Ministry of Education (Marie Guyart building), at the Saydie Bronfman Center, at the Institute of Fine Arts of Montreal, at the Pierrefonds Cultural Center, at the Center de la Nature in Laval , at Rencontre VI (Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu), at the Richelieu gallery, at Studio 261 and at the Ritz-Carlton hotel. His sculptures and paintings can also be found in France, Germany, Switzerland, Canada and the United States.

In June 1996, the TVA station highlighted his bronze sculptures exhibited at the Galerie Richelieu and in the television segment called Local Hero, TVA presented his sculptures as “worth their weight in gold” and invited the public to go see them.

The millennium opens for her with an exhibition at the Egyptian Consulate in Montreal. In addition, the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal retained her among the women honored for the year 2000. In May of the same year, she exhibited her paintings on silk solo. From the outset, she exhibited many times , in prominent places such as Sherbrooke Street, at Laoun Opticien, next door to the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.

In March and April 2017, the Museum “The Masters and Craftsmen of Quebec” presents in a major exhibition, the different facets of his talent, particularly his bronze works, in particular the most recent Liberty.
